DIY Self-Raising Flour

Making self-raising (or self-rising) flour isn't a hard thing to do. Many bakers prefer to make their own since it's so simple. You don't need to rush out to the shops as long as you have these three basic ingredients in your pantry:

plain flour
salt
and baking powder



To make self raising flour:
For every 1 cup of of plain flour (120g) simply add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
Yes, a little math is required, but it saves you a trip to the grocery store.
