Vanilla Whiskey Potatoes for St. Paddy's

Fool or entertain your friends and family for St. Patrick's Day this year by serving them a classic Irish dish... potatoes... but for dessert! I've included whiskey in the recipe, but you could use Guinness or leave the alcohol out.


If you've ever been curious to try your hand at making a realistic looking cake, this is about as easy as it gets. Sculpt your potatoes out of cake pop mix, then cover in fondant and paint with food colouring. Finish the look with dirt made from Oreo crumbs.

INGREDIENTS & EQUIPMENT

POTATOES
  • bowl
  • vanilla cake scraps, crumbled
  • swiss meringue buttercream
  • whiskey (optional)

DECORATING
  • rolling pin
  • paintbrush
  • sponge
  • fondant
  • brown, orange, and white food colouring
  • Oreo crumbs
